Wow!! This clinic is the best clinic ive ever been to. The reception staff are so lovely and ready to greet you with a warm welcome. I had composite bonding done with Dr Patel and this has to be the best service ive ever received. Dr Patel is not only extremely knowledgeable in his field but also so open to listening, understanding and helping you with any problems you may have with your teeth. Again, Dr Patel is very caring, welcoming and extremely talented. You can tell the staff care. This clinic is amazing and super happy with my results! Check them out on Instagram!

Fantastic experience throughout my treatment with Nik at Maylands Dental. I had Invisalign and composite bonding. Dr Nik really makes sure your teeth are right for you in terms of shape and colour. Dr Nik and his assistant Lara are amazing! At a previous Invisalign appointment (about two visits ago) I was in quite severe pain, and Dr Nik immediately changed the plan to treat an infection caused by my wisdom tooth. It really stood out to me how much he cared, arranging extra check-ups to make sure it cleared before continuing treatment. I’ve now had my composite bonding done and the difference is incredible – Couldn’t recommend them and Maylands Dental enough. Thank you for being so kind and supportive throughout my treatment, I’ll be recommending any friends looking to get their new smile!!!

After a journey with Aligners to straighten my teeth I went to Dr. Nik and he started me on my at-home whitening treatment. After a consultation I felt really at ease and well-advised regarding composite bonding. He didn’t feel pushy like other dentists I’d been to and his prices were competitive. I had them done today and I’m so happy! He really had to work on my crossed over teeth at the front which just wouldn’t budge with my Aligners (not from Nik but another company)I almost fell asleep in the chair; it wasn’t as scary as I thought and now I have a white, straight smile I’m so happy with! Laura is very welcoming and professional and they both make a great team. I highly recommend Maylands Dental Practice.

Dr Nikhil Patel and his assistant Laura are amazing. First of all they make you feel so comfortable and welcome both so warm and lovely it was such a pleasure coming in every time to see them. Amazingly kind and professional team. I was really nervous to get back to the dentist after not having been in years. I needed a root canal and it was a positive experience throughout from the kind reception staff to the dentist and dental nurse.Rosaline and Lara were so bubbly and personable. I’ve had a brilliant experience with Maylands Dentist, especially with Laura and Nikhil. They’ve supported me through the final stages of my Invisalign treatment and then helped me through the next steps with composite bonding. Nikhil always took the time to explain all the options clearly, so I felt well-informed every step of the way. A 5 Star service, The team at Maylands Dental and Aesthetics are fab from the initial discussions on WhatsApp on what I was looking for to attending the clinic. I wouldn’t normally write reviews, but today I am for Maylands Dental and Aesthetic Practice. They completely exceeded my expectations. Although I do not live in Hemel Hempstead, I would highly recommend and almost consider moving there myself.I took my mum for a hygienist and routine dental appointment after a year of her being in hospitals. All of the staff were exceptionally friendly, professional and accommodating. They could see that my mum needed time and nurture due to her health conditions. My mum walked away today with a smile; and that has made my day.Thank you all.

Couldn't recommend this practice enough. I've been having treatment done here for the past two years. Dr Nam is absolutely fantastic. I've always been anxious going to the dentist but his approach has made me feel totally at ease. He's very thorough, explains everything he's doing as he does it, gives great advice and really does take great care of his patients. It's very easy to get an appointment and the ladies at the reception are also very accommodating and polite. Overall I've had a great experience here, my whole family is now signed up to the practice too and they all recommend it highly. Thank you all for your great work :)

The process of getting my first appointment to now finishing my treatment has been so quick and easy from booking appointments, being easy to contact through insta if I've had any questions during the treatment & the payment process too! I just had a root canal done with Dr. Nam, and it was the easiest one I've ever had. He’s incredibly friendly and kept me informed throughout the entire process. Couldn’t recommend Maylands dental practise any more if I tried! Every member of staff I’ve met have all been friendly and attentive, from the receptionists, dentist, nurses and hygienist.In particular Dr Swetha and Nurse Sri are both so caring and personable as well as super professional. I bought my two young daughters in for their first check ups and they had a great time, leaving them feeling happy to come back again.It’s a pleasure to come to the dentist which I imagine not a lot of people would say. Also a very modern and clean practise which is an added bonus.

My 11 year old son is extremely nervous going to the dentist for his checkups. But yesterday we had the pleasure of seeing Tanushri, and he now loves the dentist!!!The way in which Tanushri speaks with children, assuring them and explaining everything, is wonderful. If I can give them 0 star I would have done that. Very rude receptionist. She needs to be trained to talk to the customers. My girls had their dentist appointment at 3.30, my bad we were running late and reached their 3.39. As soon as I entered I apologized and because I was driving so couldnt call to let them know we were running late. In their reception area it clearly says on the notice board IF YOU ARE MORE THAN 10 MINS YOUR APPOINTMENT MAY BE RESCHEDULED. The receptionist rudely told me your appointment needs to be rescheduled as you are late. This could have been said in a polite way as well.If we are being asked to be polite towards the staff same should apply to them. Their staff needs to be trained to be polite. Very rude and very unprofessional attitude. I would not want to keep.this as my dentist if I have the option. Considering I had childreen with me, and kids can be very sensitive to such interactions, I would not want.my children to be in the same situation again.

Went here for my Invisalign treatment. Dr Patel had his work cut out for him! We had finished with the sets in just over 6 months, but we decided to do 10 more trays to make sure the bottom teeth were perfect. I’m so happy with the results. Nearly 6 months after the treatment my teeth are great.

I never really complain but, I had filling fall out two weeks ago I went here for emgency appointment because it fell out the dentist wedged a filling in and hurt after before I had no pain! I said to receptionist dentist told me it's because it's new! & just been done. Turns out it wasn't she pushed the temp filling so much in my gum a week later it fell out again I rang up and so was so affective and was saying other stuff no listening to what I had to explain .I only just got fixed by another private dentist it was the filling wedge in my gums that caused me pain so thanks! This dentist has no idea what pain you caused me for what should Been temporary filling that only lasted a week fell out and she wedged in my gums! ?!!! Never NEVER come here for an emgerncy I now have better dentist

I have just recently moved away from Hemel to Eastbourne and I was quite sad when I had to change dentists. I wanted to say that Maylands Dental Practice was the best dentist I went to, they helped save my neglected teeth after growing up with a nasty dentist, and avoided going until I found Maylands when I was a lot older. I have been receiving treatment from dental hygienist Mariam. I can honestly say she is the best hygienist I have ever come across. Her positive attitude and knowledge have really helped me to improve my oral hygiene. Previous hygienists elsewhere have left me feeling ashamed and embarrassed. The dentist are great but the receptionist is totally horrible nasty and should not be front face to deal with patients, I have brain illness which I explained I'm in London hospital regulary no understanding or help from her. she said she text messaged for reminder of appointments for my son, myself, partner which no reminders came for them only me we have all same number she said my partner has not been in at all since 2014 that's 9 years which is a lie as he pays for private from this surgery my son is 11 years old she if we not been in how would he have had a dentist appointment being only 11 years I want to speak to someone above she was not helpful told me to email manager didn't give me a email and said we would have wasted journey if we came into surgery to maybe explain our situation she has said my partner. Etc is now on a waiting list after missing one appointment that wasn't his fault. I would like who ever is in charge to contacte on my email or phone number that I know the surgery has.

Having just finished my Invisalign treatment with Dr. Nikhil Patel, I couldn’t be happier! As a general rule I can’t stand going to the dentists, and had put off having this treatment for years. It was only on a whim that I booked in for one of their free consultation days, and from the outset Dr Patel made me feel relaxed and confident about the process and procedures. Throughout the treatment he has been incredibly patient (even through misdemeanors like the dog eating my retainers!) and never makes the sessions feel rushed. From talking to other friends who have gone through the Invisalign process, their practitioners have put no-where near as much time or effort into making their experience a good one (and have paid more!) All the staff here are welcoming and friendly, it really is a lovely little practice to visit and I would highly recommend a chat with Dr Nik if you are considering going down the Invisalign route. Thanks to the team for giving me a great smile :) x

I had my first treatment with Dr. Nikhil Patel yesterday, and I must admit that I arrived nervous. I knew I'd be in good hands the moment his assistant Laura called me in - she was welcoming, polite, and friendly. I knew everything would be fine the moment I sat in the "nervous" chair and heard Dr. Patel's soothing voice. He was very precise, explaining each step as he went along, and he made me feel very at ease, probably sensing my nerves. I wish there were more doctors like him in the world of dentistry so that people would be less afraid of going to the dentist. Did I mentioned he is also very attractive? (phew!). I’ve had an amazing experience from start to finish at maylands dental practise. Lindsay on reception is great so helpful and always understanding when needing to change my appointments. I had 4 months Invisalign & 8 composite bonds with Dr Nik, he has completely transformed my smile and done exactly what I asked for. Always patient with me and talking me through everything. I have been seeing Maylands Dental sine around September last year. I had a terrible dentist phobia and avoided it for around 9 years. I found some courange to visit for a check up and explained to the receptionist that i was a nervous patient and they were more than reassuring and accomodating.I had my check up with Dr Dhanani who was incredibly lovely and reassured me that all was well, but advised a clean with the hygienist.I saw Dr Malik for a clean, she made me laugh and took all of the fear away.I found a new confidence solely down to the service i received at Maylands and decided to participate in their Invisalign 'Open Day'.Dr Nik called prior to my appointment and we had a chat regarding expectations, and the appointment was set for the Saturday.I brought my mum with me due to nerves and we were both INCREDIBLY pleased with the service we received.I began invisalign in November and by the April, i was basically done!Dr Nik has been so kind and friendly, reassuring, checking in with me etc.Invisalign has completely changed my smile and i have even added composites and wires to retain the smile i have been given.Dr Nik is excellent at what he does, could not recommend him more!Thank you to Nikhil, Karen, Lindsay, Yasmin and Aysha (and the entire Maylands team!) You have completely changed my outlook on dental work and i am so grateful for everything you have done!

After finding the practice I can say I’ve never had such a positive experience at a dental practice. Lindsay is so helpful with finding appointments quickly and that suits my schedule and always welcomes you with a friendly smile.I’ve been seeing Dr Nikhil for whitening and composites. Every appointment he explains everything thoroughly and is so patient with any questions. He’s always given great information and advice about the treatments and I never feel rushed or pressured. He listens to exactly what I’m looking for and the result I’m after. I’m so happy with the work he’s done on my teeth and cannot recommend him highly enough.Each appointment Karen has also assisted with my treatments and she always makes me feel so comfortable and we always have a chat and a laugh together.This practice is full of highly skilled professionals who are nothing but friendly and helpful. I’m so happy I found this practice and will recommend them to anyone!

I have been dealing with Swetha for a number of years as my dentist and she is fabulous in her consulting and amazing in the way she carries out her treatments and would always recommend her to my friends and family. Most important it's very hard to find a good dentist so will always look to go wherever she goes. She has now a very capable dental nurse by the name Laura. Great team!!!!!

I went to Maylands Dental practice today, to have two teeth extractions. I always feel really anxious before I go, but DR Swetha and Nurse Laura, always make me feel much more relaxed.I had an adrenaline attack because I had 4 anaesthetic injections, but Nurse Laura spoke to me very calmly to slowly breathe in and out, until I was less shake.I would highly recommend Maylands Dental practice. They are a very professional and caring team of Dentists and Nurse's.Thankyo so much for today.

Attended here on 11/01/22 to see a Dr Dhanani for a dentist appointment. I am usually scared to see the dentist and felt apprehensive this time too. However as soon as I walked through the door I felt welcomed by the lovely receptionist (Lindsey), the dentist(Dr Dhanani) and nurse (Karen) immediately made me felt at ease with their professionalism and communication skills. The dentist listened to my worries, addressed each one with time and compassion. She then went on to provide treatment and an clear explanation on the management plan. Even though parts of the procedure were meant to be uncomfortable, it was expertly done and I walked out with a smile. I thought I'd never say this but I actually will look forward to seeing my dentist again after this experience. Well done everyone and keep up the excellent work.

Disappointed with my visit to dental hygienist. The appointment cost £60 for 30 mins, most of which time was spent by the dental hygienist asking me questions about the Covid vaccine. Did not do a thorough clean, and was recommended to see Dentist however there is an 8 month waiting list. In summary, would not visit again.

First experience of using our local dental practice and it was first class. I had a major problem which needed prompt and effective treatment. Had to visit for a tooth extraction. Never a pleasant experience, but the dentist and the nurse were amazing. I was very frightened, but the nurse held my hand the entire process. The dentist answered all my questions and was so patient with me. Icing on the cake was that I got 3 stickers for being so brave. #winning

First check up..impressed and happy with service received. Attempted to book an appointment on a few occasions but due to covid there was restrictions in place to be able to attend with my children, which was more than understandable. Waited until lockdown was being lifted still be told that I could not bring a 1 year old and a 3 year old in the room together and that one had to wait outside whilst the other was being seen???? Couldn’t understand as children of this age are the people who pose less risk, what kind of business even asks for a 1 year old let alone a 3 year old to wait outside by themselves!? Unfortunately I had no one to help me out with this side of things. Then what topped it off leaving me completely and utterly gobsmacked was I had a 2nd appointment made, unfortunately couldn’t make it as I was rushed to a family emergency as a member was dying, and due to this I was told by the surgery I could no longer attend the surgery. No compassion nor understanding, nor no wanting to even listen to what I had to say. I called to speak with the manager all I got from the rude young girl at the front desk over the phone was ‘she’s not here she has no set days she just comes in and goes’ I called 3 times that week to see if the manager was there but got the same response and then again the following week to be told an email would be better method of contact as this would go directly to the manager. Here we are 3 months later and not even the decency to reply to an email. Shocking, unprofessional to say the least. Maybe if I was a private patient I would have got a better response?? Hmm I wonder.

Nikhil Patel replaced old composite veneers with new ones for me after doing some whitening and did an incredible job of it - he was great at explaining my options and giving advice on caring for my teeth and was very thorough with his work to make sure I loved my new smile - overall he's lovely a guy and amazing at his job :) Can't recommend this practice enough!

Incredibly professional service from Dr. Nik and all of the staff at Maylands. All of the staff were welcoming and approachable.Dr. Nik took the time to explain all the concerns I had with the whitening treatment as I was initially apprehensive as my teeth are sensitive and demonstrated how to use the whitening gel and trays. I didn't want any procedures that would cause any oversensitivity and neither did I want any invasive procedures. I am delighted with the results of the treatment and Dr. Nik helped me find exactly what I was looking for.I will definitely look to recommend Maylands and their staff to all of my family and friends. They are clearly committed to providing a great service to all of their customers and I have nothing but positive words and praise.

I always get scared of going to the dentist 🙈 I know nobody likes going but I feel I’ve always had bad experiences in the past which has put me off going at all!I went to see Yasmin and Laura for my hygienist appointment and can say it’s honestly the best hygienist experience I have had!! Yasmin was so calming as soon as I walked in, made convocation with me and made me feel at ease straight away! She talked me through everything she was doing and kept asking me how I was doing the whole way through! She was so gentle, I had no reason to be anxious!After the appointment she talked me through all the aftercare and explained teeth and gum health in such a way that made so much sense rather than just telling me off for not brushing properly which I feel I’ve just been told in the past!Would highly recommend!Hayley Gibbon

I have had some bad dental experiences elsewhere BUT when I found this dental practice, I felt saved!!.Clean and Modern practise.Staff professional and just so kind!I had bad anxiety because of past, horrible, negative experiences at other dental practises. Making dental work a difficult and scary experience for myself.YET at this practice, Staff have been more than understanding, extremely clear, friendly and calm.I went to them in serious amount of pain and they were able to relieve me of this without me feeling anything. I honestly feel very grateful for the clever team at this practise and will always highly recommend to others.Completely changed my understanding of what a dental practise should be like. I have seen two different dentist at this practise now and both have done amazing work. Very grateful. Thankyou guys !!!!

I came here for the first time last month for a general check up. It was my first time at this practise, my first thoughts were how clean and modern it looked. The receptionist was friendly, the dental nurse was very helpful, calming and polite and the dentist although young, seemed to know a lot about dentisty. While I was here I enquired about my options for straightening my teeth and so they took an x-ray and pictures of my teeth. The dentist went through all of the pros and cons and the differences between having braces or Invisalign and to be honest, his transparency made me realise that the price isn't much different and its much quicker with Invisalign so it seems like Invisalign will be the best option for me. I left this practice with a positive feeling and I look forward to coming back in the future.
